1.6 G16A or G16B? - ramm440 - 12-13-2020
I found the stamped engine number on the driver’s side close to the 1590 cc cast. The number on mine is 16R121627. I have found another 1.6 16v for sale but just want to try to I identify its year. Both engines have the cast aluminum valve cover with 16 valve on it. Can someone send me possibly a link to what these numbers mean? Are they both G16A or G16B? The only thing I notice is that mine has the Mikuni Fuel Injection on the plenum.

G16a is means 8v mostly mostly, and 16b is 16valves. in 1996 8valves ended forever.
R= year, nnnnnnn is serial of eng ine
R= 1994
92 to 95 is best fit N, P , R and S
