RE: Tracker Throttle Body Base Gasket Question - fixkick - 09-29-2020

great question, the gasket with no slot is for AT only car.
and fits below the A/T preheat device,
the one with the slot fits only directly below the TB base and is the vacuum ports. normal.

sadly no maker of this explains that, that ive seen

here it is working on 91 MT car, perfecly and home made by me.

I own punch set and exacto knife and do this in 5 minutes work using NAPA raw gasket paper sheets. (not bragging just showing how easy it is)

rule #2 the must be blocked holes.x5

Can you please clarify the statement below.....................

"rule #2 the must be blocked holes.x5"

Was there a "rule #1" that I missed or are you saying that "Rule #2 is that all 5 holes must be blocked by the gasket"?

sure. but click my links first.
OK i will for  you

see bottom of TB
see words, must be blocked, these 5 holes just like the suzuki was on all.

those 5 holes are what are called DRILLINGS.  and must be blocked, just like carbs did for 80+ years.
they drill the body to get port paths made deep inside and then use the gasket to block those drilling's.

just use the slotted ARC gasket, it works every time.

Thanks for the clarification and additional information especially why the 5 holes are there in the first place because I was wondering why they were there just to be blocked off by the gasket. Now I know.

I'm familiar with your your TB slideshow. I've been going through all of them again to refresh my understanding of the TB, the ISC and IAC on both my 90 and 92. Like the rest of your site they slides are full of a wealth of information about our little kicks and trackers. We're lucky to have your collection of experience and knowledge. Thanks for sharing all of it.
