Fuel tank or fuel cell? 1999 Vitara 2.0 - Jules - 03-17-2020
Couple questions:
I'm pulling the engine from a 1999 Vitara 2.0 and the fuel tank is VERY rusty. Ideally, i would like to buy a small 5gallon fuel cell, but maybe I save some $ and find a decent used tank. Questions:
1. Can I use a tank from a 1.6 Tracker/Sidekick? Is the pump going to be strong enough for the 2.0?
2. If I get a fuel cell and use an external fuel pump without a sending unit, will the ECU give me any problems? Not sure if the pump and sending unit communicate with the ECU.
