Swapping KMpH cluster into MpH tracker - Perry - 08-13-2018 Hi, I read the page on the clusters and all the differences but I just want to confirm before I try. I have a 1998 2 door tracker, auto trans, 4x4. Speedo is in mph. I have the kmph cluster out of a 1998 2 door, auto trans, 4x4 sidekick. Both have some trans/axle so is this a direct swap? To my understanding the gears on the transfer case output only change with the drivetrain? And the calibration for km/miles must be in the head? My speedo is also super loud and bouncey. Is it correct this loudness is in the cluster no the cable? Thanks RE: Swapping KMpH cluster into MpH tracker - fixkick - 08-13-2018 the , trail shaft on the 4.x4 transfer case runs different plastic gears for all 4 transmissions. (and if out side usa many different axle ratios) the connectors on the rear of speedo head must match too. see teeth here, in this table. (only for our axles usa) http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/speedo/unsafe-at-any-speed.html if the cable is not dry up top, the head has bad bearings in the needle assembly good luck RE: Swapping KMpH cluster into MpH tracker - Perry - 08-13-2018 (08-13-2018, 09:09 AM)fixkick Wrote: the , trail shaft on the 4.x4 transfer case runs different plastic gears Ok so if I have the same transmission and the connectors match I’m good to go for direct swap?
