RE: EGR stall test question - fixkick - 08-26-2014 finding welch plugs is a 10 day, saga... id have done the same, but one day some one will measure that bore with calipers.. to find ID size., 15mm or? RE: EGR stall test question - zukitrek - 08-26-2014 I can measure it, as I did not, cause was too concentrated on finishing the job. Sir you would not believe how much crap/carbon came out of those little passages!! And when I thought they were clean more crap came out. But boy it was worth it. Engine died the minute I put my hands in the EGR main. PS: I think you mixed the contributor name in this pic http://www.fixkick.com/sensors/EGR/90-95/SLIDE/html/image_6.html mine is Zukitrek. I'll post more pics later and videos. Have a great day!! RE: EGR stall test question - zukitrek - 08-26-2014 So you had to go thru the same ordeal as I did? Don't get me wrong, I did not mind, very interesting job as it requires lots of details to make sure it is really clean. I'll send some more pics tonight. Javier RE: EGR stall test question - fixkick - 08-26-2014 same but not quad ports. RE: EGR stall test question - zukitrek - 08-27-2014 So Fix kick any Suzuki or any brand with an EGR valve is bound to suffer this fate? Or what accelerates the problem or makes an engine to suffer from this? In my car happened after 20 years or so Would this be an average time frame? Or on the other hand can this be avoided? Just curious. J RE: EGR stall test question - fixkick - 08-27-2014 wow 20 years is great. only limphome mode (failsafe) makes it worse. excess fueling, by any means. it is normal for it to need service, its listed in the 50k box. on the schedule, check egr. |
