Just to close out this thread...I found the DTC connector. It's sitting on the post right next to the battery! lol. Don't let the internet photos throw you of where this connector is located. It looks like in later years, they have a nice neat place for it.

the DLC is in front of the battery and is shown there. in color. and the words battery , covering .

battery and right strut tower, seen here, and if 16v it's 6pins not 4.
Suzuki moved it in 1996 to the right head light shell
and on 1.8L left strut ,not right. just to keep everyone guessing ?
(my page tries to cover all 5 generations of Track-Kicks.) 89-98 +
